Harriet BreslowMrs. Breslow has recently been trained as a COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE COACH , a PARENT COORDINATOR , a DIVORCE MEDIATOR, and an EXECUTIVE COACH. She has also had advanced training at the Family Therapy Institute of Washington, D.C., and at the Brief Family Therapy Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Breslow formerly worked at the Frost School and Counseling Center for 12 years, where she worked with parents and emotionally impaired students. She currently serves as a divorce coach and child specialist for collaborative divorce cases, a parent coordinator for couples who are already divorced and who need continuing support in order to reach agreement, as well as counseling clients in her private psychiatric practice. She also serves as an executive coach, helping managers and their employees to improve working relationships and increase productivity.

Mrs. Breslow specializes in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and for many years she has trained school counselors, hospital social work staffs, medical students, and social work students in the Washington/Baltimore area. She has taught this technique over the past several years at Bryn Mawr School of Social Work. The interview process used in the solution-focused technique is particularly well suited for the collaborative coaching process and for executive coaching , as it helps individuals to reach agreement in a shorter time by helping them to focus on the positive rather than the negative. Clients often believe that deep-seated problems require long-term therapy. They are always surprised that with my technique they can achieve the same effective results as with long-term therapy in a fraction of the time.
